What this page does, in detail

Sign on white paper, photograph or scan it, and open it here. The ink is lifted off the paper, made pure black, laid on exact white and written at the form's pixel size inside its KB range — IBPS, SSC, UPSC and PAN presets are on the Frame panel.

The first cutout fits colour models to your own picture, with nothing downloaded, so it is at its best when subject and ground differ in colour or brightness. Fine hair against a busy background, glass, netting and motion blur come back rough — the brushes are the honest fix.

If the subject is a person, the Cut panel offers a network trained on people instead — 5.9 MB the first time you ask for it, kept in this browser afterwards, about 90 ms a picture (estimate, not yet timed on a named device for this site).

A phone photo of the signed sheet works. Fill the frame with the signature and keep your hand's shadow off the paper.

Notifications change every recruitment cycle. Each preset prints its source and the date it was checked, and a preset more than a year old warns you. If your notification says something different, type its pixel size on the Frame panel and its KB range on the Save panel.

How the size is reached

The ink is cropped tight with a little white margin, the box grows to the form’s shape, and the result is scaled down to the exact pixel size — never up. The JPEG quality is then searched until the file is inside the range. If it cannot be — a file that is naturally smaller than the minimum, or one still too large at the lowest quality — the receipt says which, in plain words.

  • UPSC asks for three signatures. Sign three times, one above the other, on the same sheet before you photograph it; this page sizes the sheet, it does not stack separate photos.
  • Thumb impressions and declarations are ink jobs too. The IBPS left thumb (240 × 240 px, 20–100 KB) and handwritten declaration (800 × 400 px, 50–100 KB) presets are on the Frame panel; press the thumb on white paper and photograph it the same way.

Questions about form signatures

My signature is 23 KB and the form wants 10–20 KB. What do I do?

Choose the form's preset on the Frame panel, or type the range on the Save panel. The page searches the JPEG quality until the file lands inside the range and shows the size in KB with one decimal, counting 1 KB as 1,024 bytes — the convention the forms use.

The form wants at least 10 KB and my file is smaller. Can you pad it?

No, and you should not want that. A 140 × 60 signature on white is often naturally smaller than 10 KB even at the highest quality. The page says so rather than adding noise to inflate the file. If the form allows a larger pixel size, a larger size makes a bigger file; otherwise the portal usually accepts it — check its own instructions.

Should the background be transparent or white for exam forms?

White. Exam and PAN portals ask for a signature in black ink on white paper as a JPEG, and JPEG has no transparency. This page lifts the ink off the paper, recolours it pure black, and lays it on exact white, so a grey or yellowed scan becomes a clean white sheet.

Is black ink required?

Most notifications ask for black ink (IBPS and UPSC say so; IBPS allows blue for the thumb impression). The ink colour on the Finish panel is set to pure black on this page; switch it to 'as scanned' to keep your pen's colour.

My photo of the signature has a shadow across it.

This page starts with uneven lighting on: the paper level is measured across the page instead of as one value, so the shadowed half stays paper. Raise 'where paper stops' on the Edge panel if a grey patch remains.
